Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2021-01-02T11:24Z ( STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2021-01-02T11:24:00-CME-001 (version 3)
Note Keyword:
COL: Possible collision with previous CME
HAL: Halo CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FIL: Filament eruption
Morphology Keyword:
Note: The source is a filament eruption visible in AIA 193/304/171 that shows some dark filament material rising from approximately S40W15 beginning around 09:00Z, and rising material/opening field lines are also visible beyond the western limb of the STA EUVI 195 view. This is followed by a clear liftoff of this material in AIA 304 at 10:45Z, and then significant darkening seen along the entire filament from ~S10 to S40 and W00 to W30 beginning around 11:00Z. CME is seen as a partial halo in C2/C3 images.

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, earlier measurements are marked as false when new or more accurate measurements are made. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME

CME Analysis M2M_CATALOG true SWPC_CAT 44.0 -26.0 626.0 C 30.0 2021-01-02T16:52Z This CME analysis used STEREO A COR2 difference imagery in SWPC_CAT to derive 3D parameters. The longitude was approximated to be more towards the west based on the orientation of the faint partial halo observed in SOHO LASCO C3 imagery. This measurement accounts for a more southward latitude based on the source signature. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)
