Start Time: 2021-10-09T07:09Z ( STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2021-10-09T07:09:00-CME-001 (version 2)
Source Location: N20E09
Active Region Number: 12882
Note Keyword:
3P: 3-part structure CME
FOV: Front Bright front; may be evidence of pileup
HAL: Halo CME
SEP: Solar Energetic Particle event
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
PEA: Post eruption arcade
BR: Brightening
DIM: Dimming
EUVW: EUV Wave
Morphology Keyword:
Note: The CME is a halo in SOHO LASCO C2 and C3. The associated eruption followed the M1.6 class flare from AR 2882 and was characterized by significant dimming, an EUV wave and post-eruptive arcades seen mostly to the West from AR 2882 in SDO AIA 193, 304, 171 and in EUVI A 195 starting at 2021-10-09T06:33Z.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

The dimming/eruption is seen mostly to the West from the location of the flare and AR 2882 (N20E09) and the mass of the CME as indicated by the halo in C2/C3 went mostly to the West, so the longitude of the CME derived with this SWPC CAT session (10 degrees) reflects this. The uneven shape of the CME and the existence of two fronts (probably the fainter shock front and the leading edge of the CME behind it) make parameters uncertain. |
