Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2023-05-04T09:09Z ( STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2023-05-04T09:09:00-CME-001 (version 2)
Source Location: N16E45
Active Region Number: 13296
Note Keyword:
GAP: Data gap
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
BR: Brightening
Morphology Keyword:
F: Flux Rope
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: CME associated with an M3.9-class flare from Active Region 3296 seen to the northeast in SOHO and STEREO A coronagraphs comprised of a brighter bulk to the southeast and faint, wider shock with matching leading edge extending from the southeast to the northeast. A halo-like feature closely trailing behind this CME seen in COR2 running difference imagery may be associated with the eruption, but this is uncertain. A SOHO data gap exists over the CME propagation in the C2 FOV of view, obscuring analysis.

Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, earlier measurements are marked as false when new or more accurate measurements are made. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME
