Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2023-08-05T22:24Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2023-08-05T22:24:00-CME-001 (version 2)
Source Location: N11W75
Active Region Number: 13386
Note Keyword:
3P: 3-part structure CME
FOV: Front Bright front; may be evidence of pileup
GAP: Data gap
HAL: Halo CME
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
PEA: Post eruption arcade
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
DIM: Dimming
EUVW: EUV Wave
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: Partial halo CME visible in the west of SOHO LASCO C2/C3. STEREO A COR2 imagery not available at the start of this CME. Associated with a X1.6 flare and eruption from AR 3386 (N11W75) with opening field lines, an EUV wave, and post-eruptive arcades best seen in SDO AIA 171/193.

Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, earlier measurements are marked as false when new or more accurate measurements are made. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME

CME Analysis M2M_CATALOG SH true SWPC_CAT 75.0 23.0 1757.0 O 49.0 2023-08-06T00:16Z Measurement based on source location of flare and eruption, around longitude W75, due to lack of stereoscopic analysis capability. The shock and leading edge of this CME appear to be indistinguishable, and so they were measured together. This CME was not measured in STEREO A due to a data gap, as the leading edge of the CME had left the field of view after the gap. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)
