Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2023-12-31T22:00Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2023-12-31T22:00:00-CME-001 (version 4)
Source Location: N04E80
Active Region Number: 13536
Note Keyword:
3P: 3-part structure CME
FOV: Front Bright front; may be evidence of pileup
GAP: Data gap
HAL: Halo CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
EUVW: EUV Wave
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: A very fast partial halo CME with a protruding narrower 'nose', seen in SOHO C2 and C3 coronagraphs (it is fully covered by a data gap in STEREO A). The CME is associated with the X5 class flare from the East limb. Coronal signatures include a wide EUV wave seen in AIA 193, wide opening of field lines and significant restructuring of magnetic field on/behind the East limb seen in AIA 171/193 starting at 2023-12-31T21:45Z.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

This analysis is very uncertain since the absence of STEREO data, CME complex shape seemingly not corresponding to the available coronal signatures make it hard to interpret it with certainty. |
