Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-03-10T23:36Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
Activity ID: 2024-03-10T23:36:00-CME-001 (version 4)
Source Location: N13W23
Note Keyword:
COL: Possible collision with previous CME
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
GAP: Data gap
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
Source Signature Keyword:
PEA: Post eruption arcade
FIL: Filament eruption
DIM: Dimming
Morphology Keyword:
L: Loop
Note: Second of two overlapping consecutive faint CMEs in the NW, partially obscured by a pylon in SOHO LASCO C3 and not seen in STEREO A COR2 because of a data gap. One possible source could be an eruption east of AR 3603 centered around N13W23 seen after 2024-03-10T22:45Z in AIA 304/193/171, with small-area but deep dimming and localized bright post-eruptive arcades. Alternative source could be a super minor opening of field lines on/behind the NW limb after 2024-03-10T21:30Z seen in AIA 193.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, earlier measurements are marked as false when new or more accurate measurements are made. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME

CME Analysis M2M_CATALOG LE true Plane-of-sky NONE 25.0 274.0 S 38.0 2024-03-11T12:31Z Since there are two overlapping CMEs in the NW and only one clear source, we made a POS analysis of both CMEs. Not modeled Anna Chulaki on 2024-03-11T19:34Z
