Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-07-09T06:24Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-07-09T06:24:00-CME-001 (version 2)
Source Location: S25E20
Note Keyword:
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
Source Signature Keyword:
DIM: Dimming
Morphology Keyword:
L: Loop
Note: An extremely faint and slow CME in the southeast only seen in the early imagery in SOHO LASCO C2 and STEREO A COR2 (and not seen in C3 because of its faintness). Its source could possibly be seemingly sympathetic eruptions in Active Region 3738 (S08E26), accompanied by a C-class flare, and Active Region 3736 (S18W04). The area between these two active region register a very faint but large-area dimming seen starting after 2024-07-09T05:30Z and centered around S25E20.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, earlier measurements are marked as false when new or more accurate measurements are made. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME

CME Analysis M2M_CATALOG LE true SWPC_CAT -22.0 -23.0 291.0 S 33.0 2024-07-09T18:12Z Very uncertain analysis based on the best fit with two coronagraphs and supported by a faint dimming between two active regions as a possible source. The CME front is very faint (not seen in SOHO LASCO C2 at all) and the source is very faint as well, resulting in the high uncertainty of analysis. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)
