Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-07-31T18:36Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2024-07-31T18:36:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: S15W73
Active Region Number: 13768
Note Keyword:
GAP: Data gap
HAL: Halo CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
Note: This CME is visible as a partial halo to the west in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 imagery, and is not seen in STEREO A COR2 due to a data gap. The source is likely an M5.3 flare and eruption from AR 3768 (S15W73) starting around 2024-07-31T18:05Z as seen in SDO AIA 131, 171, 193, 304 imagery. A wide opening of field lines is visible at this time in SDO AIA 171 and 193 imagery which appear to deflect north of the eruption site.

Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
