Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-09-07T07:36Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-09-07T07:36:00-CME-001 (version 3)
Source Location: S30E15
Active Region Number: 13815
Note Keyword:
3P: 3-part structure CME
FOV: Front Bright front; may be evidence of pileup
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
PEA: Post eruption arcade
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
DIM: Dimming
Morphology Keyword:
F: Flux Rope
Note: Bright CME to the south associated with the long duration M1.6 class flare peaking at 2024-09-07:49Z from Active Region 3815. Coronal signatures include a wide opening of field lines/departure of mass from the corona best seen in EUVI A 195, high rising post-eruptive arcades and dimming to the west and south of AR 3815 in AIA 193 after the flare, a movement of a loop/ejecta and a wide opening of field lines seen in AIA 171 to the south. In AIA 304 a sigmoid filament structure lights up but it is not clear how much of it departs the corona. The CME displays multiple different consecutive fronts - at the very least it has two lobes (possibly two simultaneous CMEs) - the southern brighter lobe and the more eastern faint one better seen in COR2A (but too faint to see in C3).

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
