Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-08-05T16:48Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
GOES: CCOR-1
Activity ID: 2025-08-05T16:48:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: N04W07
Active Region Number: 14168
Note Keyword:
DFL: Likely deflection of the event within the FOV
HAL: Halo CME
CHP: CME - Coronal Hole Proximity
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
PEA: Post eruption arcade
DIM: Dimming
Morphology Keyword:
F: Flux Rope
Note: Faint CME seen to the W in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and GOES CCOR-1, and NE in STEREO A COR2. Source is the M4.4 flare from AR 14168 centered (N04W07) starting around 2025-08-05T15:50Z as seen in SDO AIA 131, 171, 193, 304 imagery. Dimming is observed southwest of the flare site in SDO AIA 171 and 193 imagery, and post-eruptive arcades begin to form in the flare location around 2025-08-05T16:50Z.

If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

Approximate analysis made with more imagery. Measurement based on the approximate source location and best fit between SOHO LASCO C2/C3, GOES CCOR-1 and STEREO A COR2 imagery. The CME seems to be deflecting northeastward from the location of the Active Region/flare/eruption location, as is consistent with the proximity of the coronal hole that is located southeastward of the location of the Active Region. |
