The source is an eruption from an unnumbered area centered at N17E51, observed as field line movement and brightening in SDO AIA 171/193/304.

Preliminary triangulated measurement between SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and STEREO A COR2, showing eastward deflection from the source, although a SOHO data gap starting at 2025-08-16T12:36Z prevents further analysis until imagery backfills. The CME is notably more diffuse in SOHO versus STEREO running difference imagery. The front appears to be observed in GOES CCOR-1, but does not triangulate well with STEREO A COR2; awaiting full SOHO imagery to see the full picture. |
