Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-10-24T12:38Z ( STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
SOHO: LASCO/C2
GOES: CCOR-1
Activity ID: 2025-10-24T12:38:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Note Keyword:
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
Source Signature Keyword:
FIL: Filament eruption
Morphology Keyword:
Note: This CME is visible to the southeast in STEREO A COR2, SOHO LASCO C2, and GOES CCOR-1 for a few frames before becoming too diffuse to observe. This event is obscured by the pylon in SOHO LASCO C3 imagery. The source is likely related to a filament eruption spanning S15E50 to S10E38 which begins to lift off around 2025-10-24T12:00Z as seen in GOES SUVI 171/195/284/304 and STEREO A EUVI 304 imagery. The filament is located between two coronal holes and the associated CME likely exhibits deflection to the east as a result.

If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

Measurement based on the approximate source location and best fit between SOHO LASCO C2 and STEREO A COR2 imagery. The leading edge of this event becomes too diffuse to measure after a few frames. The measurement relies on early imagery as a result. |
