Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2026-06-29T22:24Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2026-06-29T22:24:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: N16W04
Active Region Number: 14479
Note Keyword:
DFL: Likely deflection of the event within the FOV
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
GAP: Data gap
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
BR: Brightening
DIM: Dimming
Morphology Keyword:
O: Other
Note: Faint CME observed to the NNE in SOHO LASCO C2/C3, likely obscured by the pylon in GOES CCOR-1 and not in STEREO A COR2 due to a data gap starting at 2026-06-29T19:38Z. The source is associated with an M1.4 class flare from AR 14479 peaking at 2026-06-29T21:40Z observed in SDO AIA 131. Also observed in SDO AIA 171/193 as brightening, field line movement, and slight dimming following the flare. The CME front appears deflected slightly NE from the source region.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

Using the source location at N16W04, we find the front deflected NE, and without the ability to triangulate in real-time. As such, this region's eruptive history is referenced, and a latitude of N30 then fitting the longitude to E03 is used to approximate the parameters, and may vary as a result. This deflection does fit with the observed wide opening field lines in SDO AIA 193. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)
