Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2026-08-27T18:00Z ( GOES: CCOR-1 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
GOES: CCOR-1
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2026-08-27T18:00:00-CME-001 (version 3)
Note Keyword:
FOV: Front Bright front; may be evidence of pileup
GAP: Data gap
Ha: Bright emission (likely H-alpha emission)
HAL: Halo CME
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
CHP: CME - Coronal Hole Proximity
Source Signature Keyword:
PEA: Post eruption arcade
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
BR: Brightening
EUVW: EUV Wave
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: CME observed as a full halo to the NE in GOES CCOR-1, and to the W/NW in STEREO A COR2 with a partial halo shock. Not seen in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 real-time due to a DSN gap. The source is far-sided, and may be former AR 14507 expected to be around N05 and W170-W180 at this time. The eruption is only observed in STEREO A EUVI 195/304 after a data gap ends at 2026-08-27T18:45Z as brightening and post-eruptive arcades over its west limb (limb around W158.3, with STEREO A at W68.3), and in SDO AIA 193 and GOES SUVI 284 as an EUV wave visible over the north and west limbs starting around 2026-08-27T17:00Z.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

The CME structure is complex, and in COR2 two fronts to the NE are observed, with a brighter core following the more faint, outer leading edge that matches with the brightest outer feature in CCOR-1. As such, this fit encompasses that outermost leading edge in COR2A with CCOR-1's leading edge. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)

The shock may be visible in STEREO A COR2, but is either too faint or obscured by the bright bulk, and does not track well with the more clear shock front observed in GOES CCOR-1. As such, single spacecraft is used with the same longitude as the LE to approximate, and parameters could vary as a result. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)
