Note: Characterized by an increase in solar wind speed from ~400 km/s to ~490 km/s, a sudden jump in temperature from ~80 Kelvin to >400 Kelvin, and an increase in density. The solar wind magnetic field parameters were previously elevated due to the arrival of CME: 2026-07-11T04:38Z. The small, associated candidate coronal holes is seen crossing the central meridian in SDO AIA 193 on 2026-07-12. At the onset of the HSS, one was centered around S05W40, and one was centered around S17W35.
