Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: STEREO A
Event Time: 2025-09-25T04:26Z ( STEREO A: IMPACT )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: IMPACT
STEREO A: PLASTIC
Activity ID: 2025-09-25T04:26:00-IPS-001 (version 2)
Quality of ICME Signature: 2 (clear signatures)
Note: Sharp increase in B total from 6nT to 12nT (and eventually to just under 20 nT), accompanied by a drop in density from 7 to 2 p/cc, and rotation of at least two magnetic field components - all indicative of a CME arrival (possibly arrival of a flux rope). Solar wind speed remains under 350 km/s. Candidate CME is 2025-09-21T22:36Z CME which was predicted to arrive 2025-09-25T06Z.
