Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: STEREO A
Event Time: 2026-07-11T16:25Z ( STEREO A: IMPACT )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: IMPACT
STEREO A: PLASTIC
Activity ID: 2026-07-11T16:25:00-IPS-001 (version 3)
Quality of ICME Signature: 1 (lacks some signatures)
Note: Minor shock arrival at STEREO Ahead around 2026-07-11T16:25Z, marked by a sharp jump in total magnetic field from ~6 nT to ~14 nT with changing magnetic field orientation. A stronger negative y-component following the shock arrival and increasing proton density from ~2 cm^3 to ~7 cm^3 is observed. Very little change in the solar wind velocity data is seen immediately following the shock. Likely associated with the arrival of CME: 2026-07-07T08:12Z but may as well be associated with the arrival of CME: 2026-07-08T06:45Z with lower confidence.
