Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-09-14T15:36Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2024-09-14T15:36:00-CME-001 (version 2)
Source Location: S18E55
Active Region Number: 13825
Note Keyword:
3P: 3-part structure CME
FOV: Front Bright front; may be evidence of pileup
HAL: Halo CME
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
PEA: Post eruption arcade
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
BR: Brightening
DIM: Dimming
EUVW: EUV Wave
Morphology Keyword:
F: Flux Rope
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
L: Loop
LS: Loop and Shock Candidate
Note: Partial halo CME seen to the southeast in SOHO C2/C3 and not yet observed in STEREO A due to a data gap. Associated with a powerful X4.5-class solar flare from AR3825 (S18E55) and subsequent strong eruption, characterized by intense brightening in SDO 131 and fast ejecta seen best in GOES 284 as well as a large, fast EUV wave associated with the eruption traversing back towards the northwest seen best in SDO 171/193 that covers approximately half the solar disk.

Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
